This position will be the sole HR professional at the company and will require someone with a strong HR background to manage all day-to-day HR operations and serve as a partner to the executive team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compliance - Stay current on federal, multi-state and case law changes, regulatory updates, and other legislative issues. Advise management on any necessary actions. Maintains HR policies and Employee Handbook.
- Payroll/Compensation- Process bi-monthly payroll, maintain employee data and reporting, assists with the monitoring of the company wage and salary structure and the variable pay systems within the company including bonuses and raises.
- Employee Relations: Provide proactive and reactive support to the business, managing and resolving employee relation issues with managers and team leaders. Recruiting – Develop and implement strategies for sourcing, attracting, and recruiting applicants. Manage employee orientation and onboarding.
- Benefits Administration: Manage all employee benefit programs, including enrollment, disenrollment, monthly reconciliation of benefit invoices and liaison with brokers.
- Training –Work with Learning and Development Specialist to coordinate training for the company and track participation.
- Assists with the implementation of company safety and health programs. Tracks and posts OSHA- required data and files reports.
- Assists with the process of organization development that addresses issues such as succession planning, superior workforce development, key employee retention, organization design, and change management.
- Assists with employee communication and feedback through such avenues as company meetings, suggestion programs, employee satisfaction surveys, newsletters, employee focus groups, one-on-one meetings, and Intranet use.
- Provide HR data analytics to Executive Management
- Helps to monitor the organization's culture so that it supports the attainment of the company's goals and promotes employee satisfaction.
- Involved with planning and execution of company events (parties, luncheons, etc) Ad-hoc projects as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, with active PHR or SPHR certification
- 5 years of HR Generalist/ HR Business Partner experience in a small to medium-sized, growing company
- Payroll experience required - Paylocity preferred
- Skills/Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws
- Solid Knowledge of benefits, administration, recruiting, and compliance
- Ability to handle confidential matters using discretion and good judgement.
- Experience with all aspects of recruiting
- Coaching of Managers and Team Leaders Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills
- Able to work in a team environment and collaborate with others
- Ability to support and drive our company culture
- Must have attention to detail, excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Software implementation is a plus
